There won't be a specific app for iBeacons, rather, proximity awareness is added to apps that do something else by its developers where it makes sense to do so.

An example of this might be a an app that is used within a museum. You would load the app and as you get close to exhibits, it would give you information about what you are looking at.

Think of it being a building block for app developers to use. Without there being such a tight, seamless integration there really would not be much point for the beacons.

Nick is spot on.  iBeacons let your app take an action based on being close to something.  In the webinar, I gave examples from retail and in museums.  What kind of work does your company/organization do?  I'm sure we can come up with some examples for you.

Hi Matthew,

We are Aerohive reseller. We intend to work with the local iBeacon reseller and developer.

As Aerohive and Euclid have integrated their technologies for retail analytics. Must we purchase the iBeacon app and HW from Radius Networks to work with the integrated solution?

There's no need to use iBeacons with Euclid.  They're complimentary methods of measuring proximity.
