Wifi interfaces bouncing every 10 minutes

Testing out an Aerohive AP. The wifi interfaces seem to go up and down on their own every 10 (ten) minutes. They are down for only a second before coming back up.

This up/down pattern seems to last a few hours at a time, then go away on its own, and then come back later. This isn’t normal, is it?

Running HiveManager and HiveOS 6.4r1a with a single AP121.

Hi Peter,

Have you contacted Aerohive Support on this issue? There could be different reasons for why the interfaces are flapping so it would be good to see some additional log details.

Let me know if you have a case number already created.

Kind Regards,

I hadn’t before, but I have now. Those very brief drops every ten minutes are normal. That’s the AP scanning other channels to assess the radio environment.
