I have a site that has a total of 8 AP121's, where we are preparing for a Vocera deployment.  The environment config is:
  • Initial 3 installed Sept 2015
  • Last 5 installed Sept 2016
  • Connected/powered via a Netgear M4100-24G-POE+
  • The AP's are running HiveOS V 6.4r1
  • Managed by HMOL
  • All are connected via Ethernet, no meshing
  • 1 AP121 (DACNode06) is at my site on test connected to a SMC GS10P POE Switch and it is showing the same behaviour.
  • I am getting alerts at seemingly random intervals containing the msg

In the last 24 hours I've received approx 200 notifications

The customer hasn't as yet reported any issue with connectivity, they use MS Surface Pro's throughout the facility accessing a SQL based client/server app.

Confession:
We initially deployed 3 (Approx 12 months ago), and didn't have any email alerts enabled.  The system worked seamlessly from the start (perhaps we were ignorant to any issues) so regrettably this may have existed since Sept 2015.

Is this behavior reporting an issue or is this normal behavior.  If its an issue, is there any articles on how to investigate and resolve

We experienced this exact issue with the 6.4r1 to 6.5r3 firmwares and the issue was finally resolved with the 6.5r4 firmware.

Having deployed Vocera before make sure your channel utilisation is 30% of less.  Higher than that and the Vocera badges experience performance issues.

Agreed, this was a known issue with 6.4r1. Always best to try and run the latest stable firmware.

Hi guys, I see you are using AP121's also. Do you have the impression they are running at their limits since 6.4r1  ?
