I have 2 HiveAP320_n that have been running fine for ages, today the wifi stopped working. If I reboot the SSIDs com up and are accessible for a few minutes then they keep asking for password.

Can you post a few more details about your configuration?

- No encryption, WPA2-PSK, WPA2-Enterprixe, PPSK, ...?
- If 802.1x / WPA2-Enterprise: What is the infrastructure behind? (Radius, AD, ...)

Please also run the client monitor for a client that is being asked for a password and post the output here.

See here for how to use Client Monitor:

I am unfortuamtely not onsite and have only recently taken over the support of the aerohives from someone else.
I have just tried logging into the Myhive portal and get the following when selecting the hive:

Welcome to Aerohive HiveManager
You must submit a valid entitlement key

Could this be the cause of the dropout?

Scott,

You tried to access the Hivemanager, which is Aerohive's management system - to manage the devices' configuration only. Unlike Controller based system, the Hivemanager is not needed for operation, but for configuration, troubleshooting and reports.

Having said that, access to the Hivemanager is crucial for you to find out what the problem is, and to fix it.

The message you get indicates that your Hivemanager account ran out of support licenses. I recommend to contact your Aerohive reseller and ask for a quote to renew your support. Once this is accomplished, you can go from there - either here through the community, or via an Aerohive support ticket. Your reseller might be able to help you quickly, too.

If you don't know who your reseller is, best would be to contact Aerohive directly, and they will help you.
