Where does my hive run?

Hi.

I see from other posts that its possible to place my hive that is located at Aerohive in different countries. US seems to be quite often the case, but I wonder if its possible to get it placed in Amsterdam or something that is more close to where our installation is.

I've been trying to fiddle around both to try to send Aerohive a question via support (seems unpossible without calling them), and can't find the location of our hive in the configuration panel.

Thanks.

Hi Leif,

Your VHM will be hosted in an AWS server. Depending on your location, you should be automatically assigned an appropriate data centre.

Which version of HiveManager do you have? If you are using HiveManager NG, you can find your assigned data centre by clicking the 'person' icon at the top right of your screen and then clicking 'About'.

It will then list your assigned data centre:

Unfortunately, it is currently not possible to change where your VHM is hosted in HiveManager NG. Your only solution for the time being is to create another account and verify you were assigned the correct data centre. If you haven't already activated your license you can then apply to this account instead.

Kind regards,

Nathaniel

Thank you for a good answer. I'm running Hivemanager Enterprise 6.6r3a. The about dialog doesn't show the Data center location, unfortunately.

Hi Leif,

You're welcome! What do you have in your HiveManager URL? This will indicate your assigned data centre in HM6:

Kind regards,

Nathaniel

Hi Leif,

This is our EMEA (Europe, the Middle-East and Africa) data-centre. If you are anywhere in EMEA this is the data centre you should be assigned to.

Kind regards,

Nathaniel
