I need to upgrade from Express mode to Enterprise mode. I thought all I had to do was go to Home > Device Management Setting > Select Enterprise.

(After doing a backup!)

I am using Hive Manager Online 5.1r4

That option is greyed out for me. How do I upgrade?

I've never ran into this before, but check this for me: Home > Administration > Administrators

What group is your account set to?

If you're using HMOL and the option is greyed out, either your account doesnt have the rights to convert it, or it is locked and needs an Aerohive support folk to enable the option for you.

Ran into this one time a good while ago for a customer.

Hello James,

Brian (Powers) is exactly right, if the option to enable/switch to Enterprise mode is greyed out then it must be enabled on the backend of HMOL. The most common explaination for this are older HMOL accounts that were created years back when Express and Enterprise modes were two separate offerings. For a while now however, Express and Enterprise modes are both freely available with any HMOL subscription. So it is possible that your HMOL account was created in a time when this was not the case.

But I digress. Regardless of the how or why, Brian Powers is correct; all you need to do to resolve this issue is open a Support Case with our ATAC team and we can easily enable Enterprise mode for your account.

Hope this helps.
