End-user productivity is reduced through lost network connectivity, which may happen due to either the user or their device’s behaviour, or perhaps a wider issue with the network itself.

Regardless of the reason for the issues, productivity can be gained again from shorter resolution times. When organizations opt to implement access points and controllers without the additional management console, the time to troubleshoot issues will naturally increase, especially across distributed environments where there is only a single, central IT resource.

ESG estimates a typical loss of productivity to be around 10% during the outage, which if facing site-wide downtime, will have a negative and potentially costly impact to the business. By implementing a solution with centralized management, IT teams have greater visibility, more tools, and can react much sooner from any location, thus increasing user productivity by getting them back online sooner, and releasing the IT team to focus on other activities.
