It depends?

Depending on the size and user density of the classroom we have anywhere from a single 120 to two. I have an 330 in two large conference rooms and sitting areas.

JR is spot-on, it depends. You might get a slightly larger coverage with the 330, but for iPads there's no benefit in the AP doing 3 spatial streams instead of 2; the iPads are single-stream.

If I were spending my own money and knew that iPads would be the predominant client for the foreseeable future, I would go with the 121s.

If I were spending someone else's money and wanted to ensure the best performance for whatever .11n clients may appear, I would go with the 330.

I agree with Mike but will take it one step further:

If your limitation is the count of APs, choose the 330, the radios are more sensitive and it has better MRC.

If your limitation is $$ choose 121s, You can roughly buy 3 121s for the price of 2 330s - 3 121s would give you better capacity than 2 330s for iPads (this rule doesn't work for laptops)
