what is auth.aerohive.com and why my APs are trying to contact it on port TCP 2083?

My syslog is getting this from my APs

Oct 11 12:27:09 10.3.5.16 radsecproxy[2211]: connecttcphostlist: trying to open TCP connection to auth.aerohive.com port 2083

The firewall is blocking it, and although I'm planning to open it as probably some functionality might not be working as expected, I still would like to know what is that traffic about.

Thanks

Pablo,
That's the DNS name for our ID Manager service. It appears that you either requested a trial or have subscribed to that service. The online help for ID Manager includes a table of the things you should open up on your firewall to ensure proper operation.

Great!

I suspected that was related with ID Manager! As indeed I requested a trial a week or so ago and we are testing it at the moment!

Thanks for your prompt response.
