There are a number of factors that are used to determine the economic value of a solution. The most obvious are determining the difference in capital expenses and operating expenses. These would include purchasing price, installation, training and ongoing maintenance costs. However, to truly understand the economic value, one has to dig a little deeper and should also look at how a solution can impact IT efficiency and employee productivity. For example if tasks can be accomplished faster or if the solution provides high availability organizations will not lose productivity due to downtime. The model outlines how Aerohive’s controller-less solution can deliver economic benefits across all these areas.
