I know what a rogue AP, but what about a rogue client?

A rogue client is one whose signals have been detected by the Aerohive APs but is connected to something else, either an ad hoc network or some other organization's access point.

Look at the reporting devices and at the SSIDs to which the "rogue clients" are connected; if the reporting devices are on the physical periphery of your network then there's a strong likelihood that these are false positives, the SSIDs to which those clients are connected will help you confirm or deny that.
