I have a Bonjour Gateway setup and can see the Apple TVs but when we try to connect it fails.  Currently has have all traffic block going into the VLAN that the Apple TVs sit on.

Does anyone know which ports need to be open to allow the AirPlay traffic?

Thanks for getting back to me.  I did read this article on Apple's website.

I have found from my testing that with some of these ports open; an iPad/iPhone will connect fine, however, from a Macbook, it continually doesn't connect.

I have run Wireshark on the Macbook and it uses TCP 7000 and then seems to randomly select a port in the 42000-43000 range.

Dave - did the above ports work with Macbooks?

I didn't see any device specifics, I would assume they would be using the same ports both directions.
