Web Proxy Settings

We are implementing a Squid Proxy Server on our WAN and want all Web traffic for wifi clients connecting to our APs to go through this proxy server. We are a school district with 200+ sites and one Proxy Server that we want all HTTP/HTTPS traffic directed towards. I can't see a way to do this in our on-prem hive manager and no info online through your website or the Aerohive Community. Any assistance/suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

...so all your wireless traffic from 200 schools..is going to go through one proxy server?  Hmmm...presuming this is some kind of server farm arrangement then...

Anyhow...what proxy setting is used by a client is not determined by the AP (well..not unless DHCP is also handled by APs...).  You will need a proxy PAC file - probably one identified by a WPAD.dat file - which is pointed to by DHCP and/or DNS

Wondering what you are hoping to achieve by this proxy?  Are you looking to monitor or filter the traffic?  Because is so ....  you will need wireless clients to have an https inspection certificate other wise the traffic will be invisible (but I guess you already do this for your other clients...)    And VPNs are so clever now - that any wireless device using one ..and you will never know...will be able to send traffic and get to any web site they like without you knowing....

Looking to provide web filtering and some caching of all clients, wired and wifi.  Our Network Architect is taking care of the proxy server deployment but wanted us to see if Aerohive had some sort of setting to direct all HTTP/HTTPS traffic to the proxy server.  Looks like Aerohive does not have this capability, at least according to their Tech Support.
