User Manager Error When Creating Temporary Account

I created two different accounts to be able to access User Manager. One is the "User Manager Admin" and one a "User Manager Operator". When I log in as either user and try to create a "Temporary Account" I receive this error "Cannot create any temporary user accounts. Please contact the administrator." Any ideas? Also Screenshot of the error:

Hi Shane,

Make sure you have matching attributes between the PPSK user group and User Profile.

Also make sure the user profile has 'allow user manager to manage this profile' ticked.

Hi Matt,

The box was and is ticked. The PPSK User Group did not have anything int he attribute field. I made sure it was set to "4" which is what the user profile is set to as well. Not sure if I had to upload the configuration to any WAPs or not (didn't think I would for this situation) but I updated one anyway. I logged out and logged back in as the "Operator" but still receiving the same error.

Hi Shane,

Can you push the updated configuration to all AP's and try again? The two suggested problems are the most common that I've seen cause this behaviour.

If after the config push you still see the same, send me your VHM-ID and I can take a look at your configuration if you would like?

Had to tick the "“Manage users for this profile via User Manager” in the user profile to correct this issue.

Hi Matt,

I will have to do that later tonight. There are still quite a few AP's that I cannot update because of IP/VLAN changes I made that I need to make sure I make switch port changes to all connected AP's switch port before I update them or they will get disconnected from the network. I planned to do that tonight anyway.

Hi Matt and Shane, I'm facing the same issue on my new costumer. Both, PPSK and User Profile it's ok, following your suggestions. Did you get same upgrade on this deploy?

To be honest with you I cannot remember. I think it was something simple like I did not realize you had to already have created the accounts from within the regular dashboard under "Local Users". While it seems like the User Manager area is "creating" accounts it is not, it is simply using an account from the pool of users you created on the back-end. Hope that makes sense...hard to explain in short.

Hi,

We've been working with temp accounts for about a year and a half and since a few weeks we've been getting this error (Cannot create any temporary user accounts. Please contact the administrator.) when trying to create a new temp account. We've checked all the settings but they were still the same. We've tried changing the PSK rotation settings but this also did not help. Is there anything else we can check? Our VHM is VHM-EWSISI ( Koninklijke_Maatschappij_voor_Di )
