Any word on an update to support the Sierra Wireless / Netgear AC340U? AT&T has discontinued the existing modem options that were compatible with Aerohive.

Jon,
We have made some significant under-the-sheets changes in the upcoming 6.1r3 release of HiveOS to better support USB modems. You won't be locked in to modems that we explicitly support going forward, you will be able (in many if not most cases) to enter the commands needed to enable a new modem to work with HiveOS into the HiveOS device.

According to my notes from engineering, it looks like we have already tested the AT&T Beam AC340U in both auto and 4G-only modes with that new software.

The changes in 6.1r3 are to HiveOS only, we will add GUI support for these definitions and commands in a future release of HiveManager.

Our current plans are to commercially release 6.1r3 in the second half of this month.

Im in need of support for a 3g/4g modem with external antenna connectors for use on boats.
Is there any guide or walk trough for enabling and testing the support of devices?
I have googled around for some time now after a updates supported 4g card sheet for "international" modems without any "gold" found.

Regarding Sierra 340U/341U support, you may want to check the post Provision USB Modem remotely via CLI in 6.1r3?

Is there any update to this?  Anyone have any newer modems tested (e.g. Verizon U620L)?
