Unknown XML error Hivemanager 6.0r2a while uploading Network Configuration

Since our Hivemanager has been upgraded to version 6.0r2a I can't upload any Network configs anymore to our AP's. (120 and 121) Our AP's are running OS version 5.1.r5 and 6.0r2.

I asume it's a bug in this Hivemanager software release.

Hello Pascal,

I strongly suspect that if you upgrade your AP/s to HiveOS 6.0r2a, then you will be able to push out configurations successfully.

Have you tried doing both a "Complete" and "Delta" configuration push?

Does your Aerohive network make use of CWP? Please let me know.

Thank you,

Scott Myron

Hello Pascal,

HiveOS 6.0r2b is now available. This code is GA and is dedicated to resolving only one specific issue.

Some customers found that when they upgraded to HM 6.0r2a and then upgraded there APs, the AP would send a message indicating the upgrade failed. However, the upgrade did not fail. The workaround is a couple of reboots which should cause the AP to be CAPWAP up and running 6.0r2a.

6.0r2b is designed to avoid the need for the workaround described above. Therefore I'm amending my previous comment and suggesting you upgrade your APs to 6.0r3.

Hello Pascal,

Just to clarify, 6.0r2b has not yet been released, but should be available later this week. If there is any change to this plan I will be sure to let you know.

Since 6.0r2b is a HiveOS only release, there is no HiveManager update required. If your APs are currently running 6.0r2a, this update is largly unneeded as the issue it addresses will be seen during the upgrade to 6.0r2b. However, if your APs are currently running 5.1r5, upgrading to 6.0r2b will avoid this issue entirely.

Once the HiveOS 6.0r2b update is released, the release notes will contain more information.
