I know that I can port forward 50 addresses on a VLAN. Is this the limit for an Aerohive router or can I forward 50 IP addresses per VLAN?

Hi, Daniel. That's a great question. Port forwarding is configured within subnetworks, but is the maximum enforced at the device level or at the subnetwork level? I suspect it's per device, but I'll find out and let you know. I'm checking on it now.

Hello again, Daniel. Here's what I learned today.
You can configure a maximum of 16 port forwarding rules on a router. All 16 port forwarding rules can be in the same subnetwork or they can be spread across multiple subnetworks as long as the total does not exceed 16 for the router.
The router can map the destination port on an incoming service to any one of the first 50 reserved IP addresses in a subnetwork. These first 50 IP addresses provide a kind of pool from which you can choose up to 16 as destinations to which the router can map incoming services.
I hope that was helpful.
