The ID Manager auth gateway is unable to authenticate the certificate on the Aerohive device.

We are having trouble with several AP330's using the ID Manager product to connect to the SSID for our BYOD network. The majority of the AP's pass the ID manager test with no issues at all, however several fail with the error message :

"The ID Manager auth gateway is unable to authenticate the certificate on the Aerohive device."

I've tried running a complete upload of the configuration to the AP i.e. along with certificates, but no the same error message.

Maybe a silly question, but how do we start to troubleshoot this issue?

Can you check that NTP sync has completed successfully on those APs?

At the CLI, run:
show ntp
show clock

Many thanks for the commands - helped immensely!

Turned out that someone had decommissioned an NTP server and not configured a backup in HiveManager.  Now back up and running.
