Super monitoring account

Hi everyone,

I don't know if this has been suggested before, but some of our partners brought it to our attention. Many of them use Aerohive for a Wireless as a Service solution. For which it's perfect. They are very happy with the solution. Only many of them have servicedesks, which, as much as we love them. We don't want them to have full admin access to all our VHM's. But we do want them to be able to monitor them.

Is there a possibility for a future 'super' monitor account, that works accross all VHM's?

Hi Stefan,

I have submitted an enhancement request to Product Management to consider implementing such an admin type. If the request gets approved, it could qualify for inclusion in a future release, but that is ultimately a decision for the Product Management team.

We would like to have this capability so we could supply our servicedesk with a single login for all hives. That way they can answer the most basic questions of clients (is my PSK correct?) while we need not fear for unsollicited changes made to the system.

We would like to have a super monitoring users that could view all devices, which are disconnected, have alarms etc. 
Any changes to this yet ?

We are looking at ways to add delegated administration capabilities in future releases and we will keep your input under consideration.

We will consider the use-cases you mentioned.
