I am configuring the AP ́s with radius server with local database, but i cant do work this configuration, i did the next steps:
1. Configure SSID with WPA/WPA2 802.1x
2. Configure authentication with radius server and set the IP to AP aerohive in this radius server
3. Configure local user Group
4. Configure local users and add users to the group
5. Configure  "AAA server settings"
6. add the AAA server on AP that will be the radius server.
7. Configure user profile, authentication and add the user profile with vlan 1 and attribute number

Do you help me?, if lack some configuration?

I have the next errors:

1.  The SSID isn ́t see for computers only cellphones
2. When I try connect with cellphones, the ssid ask me, identity - anonymous identity and password, and i think that this isn ́t normal.

I might be wrong, but as to my knowledge the user accounts from a local database can only be used for Private-PSK, not 802.1x...

Maybe someone from Aerohive can clarify this?

Hi Diego,

You are saying your computers cannot see the SSID but cellphones can? Are you hiding the SSID or have you changed any of the default settings for the SSID? What Operating system is on the computers? Can you run a client monitor and post that here it will show why the auth is failing.

For a android OS you need to configure the identity and the password the anonymous identity can be left blank.  So anonymous identity is a normal field in the Android OS.

Carsten local user data bases can be used for radius users you just need to configure the AAA settings for the AP.

Thanks,

Deven
