SSIDs still appearing after AP update

We are trying to reduce our SSIDs to 2 (from 9) for a day to see if that resolves the high channel utilisation. In configuration I have only two SSIDs selected and have updated (no restart) that configuration to the APs but when I run “show acsp nei” on the AP it still reports the old SSIDs.
I do not 'see' the old SSIDs as a wifi option on a mobile device.

Hello,

You would need to do a complete configuration to remove an SSID, which will require a reboot of the AP.

Hope this helps!

You've never had to do a complete update to remove SSIDs from an AP/Network Policy.

Show acsp nei only polls and reports back on pre-determined intervals.  What you are most likely seeing is aged data.

Run a show int on an AP and how many interfaces do you see per radio?

Should see int wifi0, wifi0.1, wifi0.2 if you have 2 SSIDs.  The same for the wifi1 radio if the SSIDs are dual band.

Larger changes require a complete update instead of just a delta update. If the delta update does not push all of the configuration changes, the next step is to try a complete update. Removing an entire object from an AP (the SSID) is a larger change, rather than just making a change to a setting within an existing object.
