Hi Bradley,

Thanks for the suggestion. HiveManager dashboard has a "Top 10 Aerohive Devices by Unique Clients" widget that provides with the info you are looking for with a breakdown of clients by 2.4 Ghz and 5 GHz radio. The data displayed is sorted by client counts and is automatically adjusted based on location, SSID and UserProfile context.

I don't want a top 10 per ap, I need the opposite in order to know which APs I could move to a more suitable place.

Radio utilisation would be an excellent indicator.

Just wanted to bring this topic back to life so that Aerohive knows that there are still users awaiting this feature.

I'd love to see this as well. Can sort by pretty much everything else...

I wouldn't hold your breath about any changes being made to classic HM. That's largely getting sustaining engineering only at this point, the development effort is rightly going on in the new platform, HM-NG. It would be good to see this ability in HM-NG.

I would like to see CPU and memory widgets/graphs as we are seeing older access points running 6.5rx starting to struggle when they are under load.

I must admit that I haven't recently given NG as much time as I should have but I am dealing with a few issues:

6.5r3 Poor Client Performance
We haven't noticed at a number of sites running 6.5r3 that clients can be slower to roam and can timeout during roams.  Rolling back to 6.4 improves the issues.  I am certainly hoping that 6.5r3a will resolve the issues.

Dropped Traffic
We have several sites where firewall rules from other IP security policies drop user traffic.  For example, Citrix traffic may be dropped (and logged) for a wireless client where their IP security policy allows it.  The giveaway is in the logs where the rule ID is not valid for the applied IP security policy but is valid for another IP security policy.  Aerohive Support has confirmed this issue.  We first noticed this with 6.4 but it has continued into 6.5.

AP121 CPU Issue Under 6.5r3
The CPU utilisation on the AP121 is much higher under 6.5r3 than 6.4 and we have had several AP121s ignoring reassociation requests under load.   Reducing the transmit power on the AP121s has improved this (as it reduced the number of associated clients) but it is possible that the 6.5 firmware stream may be the last one the AP121 can reasonably handle.
