I uploaded an 3rd party wildcard certificate, split it in two during the process (key and cert), but I cant use it because it doesnt match the Default_CA. But nowhere I can find what it actually expects to be there. Under ADD I can only add an hive CA but I dont see how that would help as it its not from the same CA, but It doesnt look like I can upload something that would label CA (just cert and key and uploads like this also only show up as cert and key, not CA.). My intention is to have some rare devices in my network, still running windows phone 8.1 (....) to end up on the network using AD authentication.

Currently you are essentially trying to use part of two different certificates at once. The Default_CA is a part of the self signed certificate that the hive manager provides by default. Your certificate should have come with a CA file that can replace the Default_CA, letting the hive manager know that you are using a new certificate rather than the default certificate.

Hope this helps!
