Hello everybody,

I'm currently trying to try ID Manager.
So I have created an SSID and check "use aerohive ID manager".
Then I want to upload the new configuration to my hive.
But I receive this error message : "The CWP must be configured in SSID Profile (Guest-Wifi) in network policy (Guest-Test)."

Do you know what can I do to make it work ?
Maybe you have a tutorial ?

thank you in advance,

Frédéric

If you have created an Open or PSK SSID and checked user Aerohive ID Manager, then yes, you need to configure and assign a captive web portal to the SSID to allow the user to enter their individual credentials (you will see that the "Enable Captive Portal" checkbox in the SSID configuration is automatically selected and cannot be disabled).

Alternatively, you can configure the SSID to use PPSK authentication with ID Manager (so each user gets a PPSK rather than a username/password) or you can configure the SSID to use Enterprise mode in which case the authentication to ID Manager will be via 802.1x username/password authentication.

Whichever you do, you need to configure the guest type in ID Manager to be the right type (PPSK or username/password) and match up the user profile attribute in the guest type with the attribute you use in HiveManager.

That's the problem I think.
I have seen that when the "use aerohive ID manager" is checked, "Enable Captive Web Portal" is automatically selected too.
But how can I assign this CWP to the ID Manager?

It's assigned in the SSID list in the policy, in the authentication column. When you create the SSID, you will see an entry in the authentication column that shows as <Captive Web Portal> with a blue icon that looks like an equals sign. Just click on that and it will prompt you to choose an existing CWP object, or create a new one.
