PPSK and self-registration monitoring

Hey guys,

Talking about PPSK and self-registration with a prospect yesterday, we discussed about how to monitor the use of the self-reg portal.

You know, on how to know things like who, how, when, where, etc. the clients try to generate and eventually get a "Guest" account via the self-reg portal.

As the self-reg SSID is open everybody could create an account so a proactive monitoring on who is generating guest accounts should be a good option, maybe not at a "knowing who is associating to the open SSID" level, but probably at a "knowing when a guest account is created" level. Or probably a history of the users that had associated to the registration SSID as well?

So I wonder, what tools do we have in order to have some monitoring functionality of this feature?

I know from what I read in some others posts that we can send that to a syslog server, but maybe history of associations report would be helpful.

So, what do you think?

Hi Erick, this is an interesting idea. It's the first time I've heard of this ask; I'd explore how ID Manager could solve this problem. Thanks for the feedback!
