POE issue with AP121

We're attempting to connect our AP121 via POE but have been running into issues. We've connected with both a POE port on our switch as well as POE injector port. Neither one allows the POE to power-on. Have checked the AP settings in MyHive and not located any specific settings that could be disabled and causing an issue. Is there something missing that allows POE on the AP121?

Hi Michael,

Do you have other AP121's that power up okay using PoE? There should be nothing special needed to have the AP power using PoE. If this is an isolated issue, it could be worth pursuing an RMA.

Will the AP power using a mains adapter?

Kind Regards,

Apart from a faulty AP, the only other things that are likely to cause PoE to fail are a faulty Ethernet cable or the distance from the PoE source to the AP being too long. Anything over 100m is likely to cause a problem (though depending on the quality of the cable and the nature of the PoE source you might be able to get a bit further).
