We've just set-up a few access points and branch routers to validate users & computers with a NPS 2012 R2 RADIUS server and this is working.. (more or less)

I now wanted the same authentication on the ports of these branch routers (BR100 & BR200).

The working wireless policy:

The wired policy:

Port configuration:

When connecting to my SSID, I'm getting a valid radius request.. life is good..
But when plugging in a network cable from my windows 10 laptop, there is no request send to the radius server. None whatsoever! I've installed wireshark to monitor the packages but nothing came in.

When I enable MAC authentication, it sends a request using the MAC address.

But I want to verify the computer object and logged in user, NOT the MAC address (yet).

How comes?

Ok.. been searching for hours.. and 5 minutes after my post I figured it out... You need to manually start the Wired Autoconfig Service since Windows 7 for this to work.
