No way to edit anything!

Hi there
I am very new to this. I log into the HiveManager as provided to my organisation. Along the top I have tabs for Dashboard, Monitor, Maps, Configure, Tools. Below that are menu options Devices, Clients, Users, Events, Alarms, Security, Applications.Clicking on *any* of these, always gives me an identical display on the main screen: a listing of the licensed, managed devices, with view filter options on the left menu.MAC addresses and locations appear as links, and it is possible for me to view settings of the devices - what I cannot do, is edit anything. The only change I'm apparently able to make (but which is not useful to me) is to 'Add License'I've tried this with four different browsers now, thinking it may be a browser issue. It's as though I have lost (or never had) edit privileges - but there is no suggestion on the screen that I'm not licensed to do stuff - just that none of it works.

Can anyone suggest what is going on here? Thank you.

Hi Nick,

You have been locked to the Monitor page because your licenses have expired. To get access to the rest of the HiveManager to continue configuring and monitoring your devices, you have to enter a new entitlement key. If you would like to continue using Aerohive without purchasing a key, you can use HiveManager Connect, which is a limited feature version of HiveManager NG (what you appear to be using now based on the tab names you gave is HiveManager Select, the full feature version of HiveManager NG).

Connect does not require any entitlement keys so it is free to use other than the cost of purchasing your devices. However it is a limited feature version of HiveManager NG so you might want to research what is available before making the switch. It also only comes with community support unless you purchase Technical Support separately. If you'd like to use HiveManager Connect, you can register at cloud.aerohive.com, follow the link in the welcome email, set your password, and the next page will give you three options (use Select for 30 days for free, use Select and enter an entitlement key, or use Connect).

If you would like to remain with the full feature version of HiveManager NG (Select) then you would need to contact your Sales Engineer for a new entitlement key. If you have purchased technical support, you can open a case with our ATAC team at support.aerohive.com to request a temporary entitlement key that will last for 30 days while you work with Sales on purchasing a new permanent entitlement key.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for your comprehensive and helpful answer. Alarming that this should happen without any notice, since licenses were apparently only purchased in September, but I shall follow up via the support company and find out how to fix the matter.
