NG: Can I stage a currently offline AP for automatic config upload when online?

With HM Classic we can select online AND offline Access Points for a configuration upload, and those marked offline are then put into "staging" mode. As soon as they come online, the configuration as then pushed.

With NG the "Update Devices" button becomes unavailable as soon as I select one AP that is offline.

Is there a way in NG to ensure that devices that come online automatically get the latest configuration update?

Hello,

The only way I can see to do this (and this is a work around at best), would be to remove the device from the HiveManager, re-add it to the HiveManager, and in the set up wizard that comes up when you add a device to NG you can select the network policy you want it to use. Once the AP connects, the most recent settings will be pushed out to this AP automatically.

However, this is obviously not the intended way we want to update APs, disconnected or not. I believe you would have to submit a feature request to our engineering team to get that "staged" option in NG.

Hope this helps!
