After updating to 5.1r4 1015 I'm noticing that on my dashboard the Network Data Usage chart is not updating. Anyone else having this issue?

Hi Charles, A common reason for this is that you haven't selected a topology or haven't waited a poll period. For the Topology, just go to maps and create a map or a folder, then apply APs to it. When you run a report, chose a node in topology. The reports are based upon topology. For waiting for a poll period, you just need to, uh, wait for a poll period :) The poll period is usually set for less than an hour and can be made much shorter.

Hi Adam, thanks for the reply. Does this apply to the Widget that I am referring to on the Dashboard? It was working pre-5.1r4 update.

I have had mixed results with the dashboard updating, and showing any info of real value. Something that I have to talk to tech support about. Post your findings here Charles.

thanks

forgot to mention I have had these on older versions. Currently on 5.1r3

I believe I figured it out. After digging a little deeper, I found that someone had made an adjustment to our Firewall that was blocking various protocols coming from our Access Points, so they weren't able to get reporting data through to our server. Once I opened up the connection between the AP VLAN's and the Server VLAN the graph started updating again. Thanks for the input again Adam.

Best of luck Loren; I've been working with Aerohive for several years, so if you ever need any tips, this is a great place to get them. I'm always anxious to help as well. Thanks for posting.

Best,
Charles
