Mitel 5624 WiFi handset not connecting to AP230

I have a Mitel VoIP handset (5624). If I connect to the same SSID from an AP330, works no problems. Fire up the AP230 with the same config and place the phone closer to the 230 than the 330 and I can see the handset try to connect to the 230, connects for a couple of seconds, then falls back to the 330, detects the 230 after a couple of seconds and tries to reconnect to it. This sequence just keeps happening.

I saw an item about the unicast/multicast setting and have this disabled on SSID - no difference.

Suggestions?

Ross,

It would be useful to see an over-the-air packet capture for the when the phone is connecting to the AP330 and the same for when the phone tries the AP230. We could compare the outputs and potentially find what is causing the issue.

You could also run a client monitor on the phone to see if there are any relevant messages.

Do you have a support ticket open with your reseller already?

Kind Regards,
