Hi All,

Can you tell me what is the maximum number of APs that I can have in a site ?

The requirements are straightforward.
- WiFi for internet and intranet access.
- seamless roaming on the site.
- Radius and captive portal users.

The maximum? I would guess that depends on the amount of space you have and the packing density of the access points...

Most people are more concerned with the minimum number of APs to meet the criteria you mentioned. In those cases, tools such as our Planner allow you to import a floorplan, identify things that affect transmission such as sheetrock or cinderblock walls, and then simulate placing APs onto the floorplan to see the coverage maps and come up with a channel plan.

As many as you want to spend money on, as long as you drop power enough to the point they aren't competing. What is your application?
