Kiosk app problem on HiveManager NG (no login possible)

We have a problem with the Kiosk App on HM NG.
We have the hive Manager on premise here. I also have access to a cloud based hive manager NG connected to the same AP type - that is my test setup.

I set up a user under "Account Details" -> "Acc Management" as a guest management user.
Then I created a fitting group under "Account Details" -> "Credential Distribution Groups", selected the user groups this group should be able to manage and added the user I created in the first step by email as a "guest management user". Everything works fine on the ipad.

I did the same on the Hive Manger NG on premise. The first step I could replicate 1:1 , but for the second step, the group management seems to reside unter configure -> users -> employee groups. From there, the settings are 100% identical.

I cannot log into any user I create from Account Management on the ipad afterwards, it is always telling me "The email or password do not match our records" even though I can log into the web interface using the same credentials just fine.

Any idea what is going wrong here? Please help, need this feature runnin on the live system by monday :(

Ok, so it seems that the Kiosk app will always connect to my Hive Manager in the cloud, insted of the local one. Even though I have set DHCP option 225 on that network it resides on (and the HM is also entered there correctly).
Any ideas?

Got an info from our reseller that the Kiosk app will not work with a Hive Manager NG Virtual Appliance run on premise.
Sorry, but when we hat the first presentation from Aerohive we said from the beginning that we wanted to run the Hive Manager here in our own network. After that we were shown all the cool features, some of which (spectrum analysis) have not surfaced in HMNG yet at all, and a very important one (Kiosk app) which was one of the reasons for choosing Aerohive is now said to not work with the HMNG VA.

Aerohive, can you please confirm? And can you please give us an ETA when this feature will be available, i.e. when the VA and the cloud version of Hive Manager NG will reach feature parity? We were told that we could do anything we can do in the cloud also on premise, and that all features from HM will be available in HMNG (social login? gone for good I think).

Could somebody from Aerohive please get back to me asap?
We are a few days from going live with our network, and our management wants answers why this feature won't be available, since it was advertised to us, even though we stated from day one that we wanted to use HMNG Virtual Appliance.
