Issue streaming video to projector using Aerohive

We have streaming problems at a Aerohive POC. The client is using the app 'Acer eProjection Manager' to stream there screen to the Acer projectors. At startup, the application automatically detects the projectors in the network. This is no problem if the laptops are connected by UTP, however the application does not detect the projectors if these are connected by wireless (due the Aerohive AP). There is nog VLAN configuration (projectors are in the same subnet as the clients), there is also nog firewall config on the access point. There is response from the projectors when we ping to the projectors IP's from a SSH session on the Aerohive AP.
What goes wrong?

From the Acer documentation it looks like the data projector connects to the wireless client in an ad-hoc fashion (wireless client <-> Acer data projector) rather than in infrastructure mode (wireless client <-> access point <-> Acer data projector).   The Acer projector appears to present an
AcerProjector or AcerProjectorXXXX wireless network and this is what your wireless client should connect directly to.  Therefore there is no requirement for the Aerohive access point.

Thx for the reply, I indeed read the same story on there website. However, the client is using a wired distribution medium for the projectors (equal for the access point). It should be possible to use the wired medium for the connection between the ap and the projector (before they used the LAN to using the projection system).

In that case I would use a packet sniffer by the data projector and another by the access point to see what is passing along the cable.  Is it possible to have: data projector <-Ethernet-> switch <-Ethernet-> access point <-802.11-> wireless client? (if you haven't already).

When you run the eProjection Management software do you get any errors that might assist?   I have looked through the extremely limited Acer documentation and it is of little or no use.  My other concern was an Acer Community post where a user advised that he couldn't download eProjection Manager for his projector anymore and the Acer Support engineer advised him that as his projector was so old Acer had removed the version of eProjection Management that supported his projector from the Downloads area.
