Hi Keith,

Could you please provide some details to help us better answer your question? This question could have many answers depending on how your are wanting the Aerohive devices to interact with LDAP.

Here are some questions that should help us answer your question:

  • What back-end LDAP server are you using? (Active Directory, Open LDAP, eDirectory, etc.)

  • How are your wireless clients going to be interacting with the aforementioned LDAP server, directly through a backend RADIUS server such as Microsoft NPS/IAS or by integrating with a RADIUS server running on an Aerohive device?

  • Are you looking to grant different levels of access to users depending on what groups they are a member of in the LDAP database?

  • What version of HiveManager and HiveOS are you currently running?

Thanks in advance

The back-end LDAP server is Active Directory, the clients will authenticate through NPS on a 2008r2 box, yes I want to dynamically assign user profiles based on the group, and I running HMOL 6.0r2a and HiveOS 6.0r2b

I can email a download link for our training slide deck, which includes a section on LDAP integration. Please send me an email and I will send it over.

Hi Keith,

Once you give the training slide deck a look, let us know if you still have any questions regarding how to configure User Profile assignment based on returned RADIUS Attributes.

Really? I will send you a link? How does this help anyone else other than the specific user who posted the question?

This is a community, other people read this stuff for answers....share!

We don't need the link, but you could at least describe where to find the stupid settings.
