We are excited to announce that we have launched our new Hive Community! HiveNation will remain as an archive, but all new posts, discussions, and articles will be created on Hive Community. You can visit our new community at thehivecommunity.aerohive.com
I am a technology consultant. I would like to be able to create a template for network configurations. My plan is for each client to get their own account at Aerohive. I'd like to speed configuration by importing details instead of doing everything by hand.
I think one way you could achieve this (to a degree) is create a template account, then 'backup database' to a file. When you create a new account, you can do 'restore database' from your template export. I'd suggest testing this as YMMV as to how effective / time saving this is.
I've been looking for anything other than what Melissa suggests but haven't found anything yet. I've also reached out to my Product Management peers responsible for HiveManager and HMOL to see if they have any ideas, but they have been very very busy with internal stuff lately and it may take them another day to respond.
This seems to be a not-uncommon request from other people in your situation, so I am certain that if we cannot do other than as Melissa suggests today, they will take this into consideration for their future plans.
