You should probably set up a User Profile that is used for authenticated users even if it's just a clone of the default policy to begin with.

In any case we should always have a Default and a Authenticated user profile for every SSID?

A user profile is just a logical abstraction...

How a user profile affects client separation and filtering all depends on what you configure within it and its referenced components. (VLAN, firewall etc.)

There is no magical inherent safety/protection that flows from a user profile just by having different ones applied, you need to do other work to get that.

Thanks for the insight there Nick. We had used just the profile we wanted as the default profile for the SSID. ie the Default user is the only type of user we wanted to authenticate on that SSID.

So I wanted to make sure it was ok to do this.
