Hello All, I am tracking a client thru the HM proper tool and when I collect the log I find the following message repeated a huge amount of times ( mac addresses and AP name below are fake ) sometimes repeated for hours:

09:28:17 AM B108AF224D84 C413E20012344 AP-MY-AP1 BASIC (7213)IP 10.111.33.3 assigned for station

Client associates to an SSID supporting 802.1x auth so pointing to a Radius server

I have never seen something like this before, what can be the cause of the bunch of repeated messages based on your experience ?

Franco,

Some wireless devices re-IP when roams on a dot1x wireless network, Mac OS for an example. If the client is stationary and you still see the above message, you may need to investigate the coverage. The client may see too many APs with good signal as a result it will roam from one AP to another AP.

The whole client monitor log will give us more information.

Thanks Eastman, the coverage in that site was very scattered indeed, so the customer is under the process of repositioning the APs, will have a better situation in a couple of days and let's see if the issue still persists

The strange thing is that the message seems to be sent always by the AP the client is connected to.

AP250, latest HiveOS golden release

I will send a complete log if the issue is still present after the optimization of the coverage - part of a recent log below.. (Client MAC and APNAME have been replaced by fake values but are consistent with the log content )

Franco,

If the issue still happens after repositioning the AP you may need to run _debug auth all and check if the connection of the particular client is stable. You may also run Wireshark on the client to see what it is doing. Does this only impact one client or all of the clients? Please try the latest version as well.
