iOS Devices not detecting AirPrint Printers

I've just set up the free Bonjour gateway VM and am having some issues.

The gateway sees all Bonjour services on VLAN 1 (server network) and VLAN 3 (wireless network). My iPhone sees all IPP printers when using the Discovery Bonjour Browser app, but will NOT detect any AirPrint printers when trying to print from an app (like mail or safari). The iOS devices print fine when I connect to an SSID that's on VLAN 1 where the AirPrint services reside, so I know the AirPrint services on the print server are working. Any idea why this would happen?

Hi Ryan,

AirPrint on iOS is slightly different from AirPrint on MacOS. Our next maintenance release of HiveOS will incorporate the fix, and AirPrint on iOS will be supported in the Bonjour gateway.

Thanks! That explains why AirPlay was working just fine but not AirPrint.

Is there an ETA on that next release?

Have you upgraded your VM to the latest version that recently came out?
As far as I know, it should all be working now.

When is the fix expected to make it to the access point devices? We are no longer using a VM like I stated 3 months ago, but instead the Bonjour gateway inside our new Aerohive APs (AP121 and AP330). We are running HMOL 5.1r4. We still can't print using iOS AirPrint.

It's here now. Just ask to be moved to HMOL 6.0r2a and update your APs to HiveOS 6.0r2a from it...
