Interesting problem with a PlayStation 4 joining an AH network

So I have a customer that has an AeroHive AP130 access point in their house as well as their business (it pays to be the owner i guess). Anyway, they have all kinds of weird devices joining the wireless network including, but not limited to, Apple TV's, MacBook pros, iPads, iPhones, iPods, and a PlayStation 4.

My problem is with the playstation. Any time they join the PS4 to the network, the AP130 will stop accepting new associations until we reboot it. We have tried joining the PS4 first to the network, and nothing else can join. We have joined everything else to the AP, but after the PS4, everything stops functioning.

Does anyone know anything as to why this would be happening just on this device?

They are known issues with the wireless performance of the PlayStation 4.  A number of users on various PlayStation forums have reported the following changes have improved their PlayStation 4 wireless performance:
  • Set the PlayStation 4's channel to 11
  • Disable the 802.11n/ac features (only if the above doesn't resolve the issue)
It appears that the wireless card/driver in the PlayStation 4 has some serious issues.
