I'm trying out Hivemanager NG and wanted to specify the channel to be used by the 5GHz and 2.4GHz radios.  However, there doesn't seem to be a place to configure this.  Anybody know how to do this in NG?

Hello Hawaiian,

To set specific channels for your APs in Hive Manager NG you'll want to go to Monitor> Click on the host name of the device to modify the device settings> Interface Settings (Left hand side menu under Configuration). Here you'll have two tabs, one for Wifi0 (2.4GHz) and one for Wifi1 (5GHz). In both tabs you should see a drop down menu for "Channel" where you can either select a specific channel or set it to Auto.

Hope this helps!

I believe he's asking for the ability to select a "set" of channels that the APs that are using said radio profile can automatically select.

This is a feature that has been lacking for quite some time IMO and a tad bit embarrassing that it hasn't been implemented in some way for HM6 outside of Supplemental CLI.

For HM NG (running version the ability to selectively choose specific channels on the 5 GHz radio profile doesn't seem to exist either.  I'm attempting to upgrade our on-prem HM NG to see if that has been added in a later NG update (I seem to remember it being on the list).

In the HMNG build you have the ability (in the specific parameters of your AP) to exclude in other word select between the supported channels defined in your radio profil which one you want to use
