I have the following alarm in HiveManger maybe teen times a week. "The CAPWAP client rebooted" Is there something to worry about?

Hi Per-Erik,

Yes, this indicates that your AP's are rebooting. This could mean a lot of things, so it's important to zoom in on the issue. Is it always the same AP or are there multiple? Are they on different switches? What is the average load on the AP's? How are you powering them?

Cheers,

Stefan

That means the access points are rebooting.   The first thing I would check would be to make sure you have an adequate power budget on your switch if it is providing the PoE.  Rebooting is a common behavior any any access point that cannot get the proper power draw.  Hopefully you are also using CAT 5E cabling or better.

Hi David and Stefan!

There is adequate power. Cat 6 cabling, no more then 40 meters and i use POE injectors. (AH-ACC-INJ-30W-EU)

It is correct that the APs reboot and I now trying to find out why. One thing that i find is that it seems like the rebooting APs is the one missing "Topologi Map" There is 155 APs in my hive and three of them have no Topologi Map. Two of them have rebooted last three days....

Thanks for your tip.
