Hi. I got question for user HTTP Proxy Server. Is there any setup inside aerohive AP can redirect mobile devices logged in my Aerohive network to a HTTP Proxy Server , then access internet.

As much as I think that proxy servers used like this are an anachronism...

  • Use HiveOS to identify mobile devices via client classification and place them in to a dedicated/appropriate VLAN, which is an isolated L2 broadcast domain.
  • DHCP then informs devices about the default IP gateway to use within that VLAN.
  • You can then have Squid etc. running on the default IP gateway and can transparently proxy to your heart's content for just mobile devices.

You may use Client Management, it can push wireless LAN configuration including porxy settings to wireless devices and control other configuration and application on the client device. It currently only supports MAC OS, IOS and android devices. You may find more details in the following link.
