HTTP proxy for secure connection to Aerohive cloud servers

Hello,

We configured the HTTP Proxy Server to connect to Aerohive cloud services and try to active the license.

The configuration its OK and we tested the connection.
However, when we click "Save" button, the next error appear:

Please enter a valid IP address or domain.

We had tried with IP address or domain name with the same result: test OK but "Save" failed.

Any ideas?
Thanks!!

Hi Mario,

This looks like a UI validation bug. Do you have a support case open over this?

Thanks,

Nick

Hi Mario,

We are handling this now via support case 00221732 and CFD-2984.

Thanks,

Nick

Hi Mario,

This is confirmed as a bug and will be corrected.

For now, please can you use the IP address of the proxy as a workaround?

Thanks,

Nick

Hi Nick,

Configuring the IP address of the proxy instead the domain name, fail anyway.
Isnt a DNS resolution problem.

Thanks

Hi Mario,

I am unclear what you are saying. Were you able to configure an IP address?

Thanks,

Nick

Hi Nick,

In "HTTP Proxy Server" field, I can configure an IP address instead the real domain name.
Howewer, I cant save this configuration either.

Thanks

Hi Mario,

This will likely be fixed with the next release of the HMNG VA.

A workaround for now would be to avoid using the proxy server or to make the proxy server transparent/inline via the default gateway.

An alternative workaround would be to use a DNS server name that only contains two dots.

Thanks,

Nick
