Hi Everyone,

Since 802.11ac has 2 waves. Why would I go with 802.11ac first wave when I can wait for the 802.11ac to come ?
For what business case does it make sense to go with the first wave ?

Thank you for your time and have a great day !

The first wave of 802.11ac gives you a bit more than double the performance (80 MHz channels plus 256-QAM). In cases where there is very high client density, that may support upgrading from high-end 11n to 11ac. One common use of 802.11ac is to support areas where users tend to cluster together. It's not being used yet as the technology to blanket an entire building, but that will come.
