Hi Hoang,

I am making the assumption that both offices have their own Internet connection, there is no existing VPN between them, and you place your HiveManager Virtual Appliance (HMVA) either in an external Data Center or at one of your offices. In which case you have to integrate your HMVA as public cloud service. You can do this the following way:

- Install the HMVA as you would install any other Vmware appliance
- Get a public IP address to use and create a proper DNS entry, e.g.
- Configure the Firewall in front of your HMVA to forward traffic for this public IP to the IP of your HMVA. Forward the following ports:

- TCP 443 (HTTPS)
- TCP 22 (SSH)
- UDP 12222 (CAPWAP)

Optional but useful, depending on your later configuration:
- ICMP echo requests (PING)
- UDP 123 (NTP)
- UDP 161 (SNMP)
- UDP 514 (SYSLOG)
- UDP 69 (TFTP)

Now you need to tell your Access Points to find your HMVA as cloud service. There are several options here, quite convenient are:
- In case you are using the local domain, you are already set, as your APs will automatically look for
- In each office, if you use a local domain like office.local, create an entry and point it to the public IP of your HMVA
- If you don’t have any control over DNS, or want to make sure that your HMVA can always work as cloud service from anywhere, ask your reseller to create an OPR (On Premise Redirector) for you (he needs the public IP of your HMVA for this). That also creates a Redirector for you, on, where you can enter the serial numbers of all your Access Points and redirect them to your HMVA. Your Reseller will be able to help you with this.

Hope this helps... good luck and enjoy :-)

I was successful by using your instruction. I was install HMVA with a public IP address and on AP 121, I configured cli ( assign primary HiveManager server is public ip of my HMVA) by connect console. Now, I can control APs by cloud service. Thank you so much
