How do you survey 802.11ac?

If we need to certify or plan an installation for 802.11ac any tools which are certified to survey this standard?

The most old-fashioned site survey method of using a real client device connected to a real AP and wearing comfortable shoes works the same way it always has.

Predictive planner tools are all being updated, and should have 802.11ac models incorporated soon. Even before those are available, though, there is not a huge difference in planning between 802.11n and 802.11ac. The first generation of 802.11ac devices is really a high-density version of 802.11n, so one common approach is to use an 802.11n planning tool to provide coverage, and then replace or add 802.11ac APs for high-density hot spots like auditoriums or major conference rooms.
