We have a locked WIFI system here at our business, and a person has gotten the password and is using the wifi on their cellphone. How would we block/remove their privileges on that device?

The easiest and most direct way would be to add the MAC address of the device to the DHCP Deny list.

Hi Sam,

While Boogins method is convenient, this is generally and should only be used on guest access SSIDs.

We suggest using PPSKs or 802.1X to be able to control client access in a secure way for business networks.

If you are using a single PSK, our suggestion would be to consider deploying with PPSKs so that you have the ability to granularly and securely control access. You can add and remove PSKs to the same SSID.

If this is just for guest access in a business, blocking the MAC address may be sufficient.

Can you describe your deployment scenario and requirements a little more so that we can best advise you?

Thanks,

Nick

Are you using HiveManager Classic or HiveManager NG?
