how to setup a "radiolink" between 2 AP 141 with a 2.4 GHz Parabol as antenna

Hi Thomas,

1) To use 2.4GHz for mesh, follow the configuration below for both ends,





2) To align the antenna use the exec command below,


Syntax:  exec antenna-alignment interface <wifiX> peer <peer-MAC> [interval <1 – 30>] [count <1 - 1000>] [text-size <16 – 1024>]

Description:  The exec command specify the antenna alignment using a radio interface in mesh/dual mode. The keyword ‘peer’ specifies the peer MAC address to send antenna alignment request frames. The optional keyword ‘interval’ specifies the interval to send the request frames, the default interval is 1 second. The optional keyword ‘count’ specifies the total number of requests to send, the default is 60, the maximum count is 1,000 request frames. The optional keyword ‘text-size’ specifies the filler text size, the default is 16 bytes.

Antenna alignment display should draw the RSSIs of beacons, ACK and Antenna Alignment Response in dB scale. Following are the examples of display the peer’s RSSI values:

Where the series of ‘B’s is for peer beacon RSSI

The peer MAC is that the opposite AP ???

Yes the wifi0.1 (backhaul interface) mac address of the opposite AP. You can see this by entering the command "show interface"
