Unsanctioned peer-to-peer file sharing can be a threat to the health of any WLAN today. Without the right tools, this malicious activity can be difficult to track down, and to shut down.

In this blog, Principal Systems Engineer Jeff Haydel takes you through a real-world scenario in which an elusive BitTorrent server was identified and then blocked using Application Visibility and Control. The environment - a school WLAN - was also secured from future attack.

This post is the first in a series of blogs "from the field," in which Aerohive's solutions have solved some real-world issues. Please feel free to submit ideas for other scenarios and issues that we can write about.
